Toy company Hasbro Canada has made a donation to the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital to coincide with “World Monopoly Day” on March 19. The donation is in the amount of $20,580, the total amount of money available in a game of Monopoly. It is part of the hospital’s “Dear Everybody Agreement,” which is intended to raise awareness of childhood disability.
“Hasbro is proud to support the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital ‘Dear Everybody’ pledge,” said Greg Ferguson, vice-president of marketing at Hasbro Canada. “As a global play and entertainment company, we have the unique privilege of being a part of childhood, play and entertainment. With that privilege comes a responsibility to lead through our values and foster inclusion in order to make the world a better place for all children and all families.”
