Wendy’s Kick for a Million promotion returns

Fast food chain Wendy’s and specialty channel TSN have returned to a joint promotion from last year called “Wendy’s Kick for a Million.” The contest is aimed at viewers of Canadian Football League games on TSN. Consumers can enter the draw online at <http://www.tsn.ca/wendys>. Visitors to the site can also win additional entries by playing an online game. Wendy’s customers can also win additional entries by checking under the rims of beverage cups. The winner of the draw will attempt to kick a field goal from various distances during the broadcast of the CFL game on Oct. 20. If successful from the 50-yard line, the kicker will win $1 million. From closer range, the kicker can also win a Chevrolet Avalanche, $15,000 in merchandise from Best Buy or $10,000 in travel from SelloffVacations.com. The contest will run until Sept. 10. Last year’s contest attracted approximately 200,000 entries. The winner of the draw went on to win $1 million by making the 50-yard field goal. “Every kid watching the CFL dreams of making a 50-yard field goal,” said Andy Lubinsky, marketing director at Wendy’s. “This contest is about making this dream a reality, as was certainly the case last year with Brian Diesbourg's amazing kick.”
