Sponsorship roundup

Mississauga-based PepsiCo has formed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association. During the term of the deal, which will begin on July 1, PepsiCo will have exclusive rights in the beverage, sports beverage, bottled water and snacks categories, along with some marketing and promotional rights in North America. Gatorade will be the official sports drink of the league. “The NHL is a powerhouse brand, and when powerful brands come together, great things happen,” said Dave Burwick, president of Pepsi-QTG Canada. “We’re looking forward to bringing the Pepsi, Gatorade, Aquafina and Lay’s family of brands to the NHL.”
