NEW OLC AGENCY LINE-UP

The Ontario Lottery Corporation has chosen three agencies to handle its advertising. Incumbents Weaver Tanner & Miller Marketing & Communications of Kitchener, Ont. and Promanad Communications of Toronto have been re-hired for another three years. The new agency on the roster is Cossette Communication-Marketing's Toronto office. Other short-listed agencies were: Ambrose Carr Linton Kelly, Harrod & Mirlin and incumbent Padulo Integrated, all of Toronto. In the past, the corporation used a pool system where its agencies would have to compete for each individual project. Now, each agency is given specific brands or corporate assignments. The OLC's annual media budget is $23 million. Media is placed by Media Buying Services, the Ontario government agency of record.
