PEPSICO RESTRUCTURES

U.S.-based Pepsico Inc. has consolidated its snack-food and beverage businesses into two worldwide units: the Frito-Lay Company and the Pepsi-Cola Company. Frito-Lay now runs all of Pepsico's domestic and international packaged-foods business. It was formed by merging Frito-Lay and Pepsico Foods International. Steven Reinemund is the new chairman and CEO of Frito-Lay. Previously he was president and CEO of North American snack business. Pepsi-Cola North America and Pepsi-Cola International divisions have been folded into Pepsi-Cola Company which now operates all Pepsico's beverage business around the world. Christopher Sinclair has been named chairman and CEO of the new operation. Formerly he was president and CEO of Pepsico Foods and Beverages International. Craig Weatherup, formerly president and CEO of Pepsi's North American soft drink business, has become president of Pepsico. All three executives report to Pepsico's new CEO Roger Enrico.
