FOOTWARE COMPANY COLLECTING OLD SHOES

HH Brown Shoe Company Canada is giving its new JB Goodhue 5-Star General workboot a marketing push while helping the poor, with the "Great Canadian Shoe Drive." The footware manufacturer, based in Oakville, Ont., is helping The Salvation Army collect used boots and shoes for needy people. HH Brown is offering a $20 rebate on the purchase of its 5-Star General workboot for those who donate a pair of worn but serviceable boots or shoes. Radio announcements and point-of-sale advertising for the shoe drive, created by Padulo Integrated of Toronto, began last week. The drive began March 1 and runs until April 30, with over 200 retailers participating across Canada. Energy Plus Communications of Toronto is doing public relations. Padulo also created a billboard campaign for the 5-Star boot which went up last week last week in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and New Brunswick.
