HYPN WINS HERSHEY MEDIA BUYING JOB
By Adnews Staff
Hershey Canada has moved its media buying assignment from Media Buying Services to another Toronto shop that specializes in media planning and buying, Harrison, Young, Pesonen & Newell. Hershey officials were unavailable yesterday to comment on the account switch. MBS failed to hold on to the business despite the fact it has on its payroll the man who was at one time Hershey's top Canadian marketing executive. Adrian Sark joined MBS in April as senior vice-president, strategic planning. Sark left his job as vice-president of marketing at Hershey Canada when the company underwent a re-organization last fall. Hershey's brand agencies in Canada are DDB Needham Worldwide and Bozell Palmer Bonner, both in Toronto. Bozell was hired in June, to replace MacLaren:Lintas (now MacLaren:McCann) which resigned its portion of the Hershey account late last year when it took on the Nestlé confectionery business.
