BBDO DOMINATES DESIGN AWARDS

BBDO Canada of Toronto captured 37 awards at last week's Advertising and Design Club of Canada show. The agency's haul included six golds, nine silvers and 22 merits. In total, 14 golds, 36 silvers and 103 merit awards were given out. BBDO netted four of its golds for its advertising for Costa Rica Tourism. They were: consumer magazine ad single, consumer magazine ad campaign, best art direction and best copywriting. Its other two golds were won in the TV category for Dominion Directory and Chrysler Canada work. Other gold winners were: Ogilvy & Mather (Canada) Ltd., Cossette Communication-Marketing, TBWA Chiat/Day Inc. and Leo Burnett Company, all of Toronto, as well as Palmer Jarvis Communications of Vancouver.
