Pattison Onestop expands Toronto Urban Film Festival

Out-of-home media company Pattison Onestop has resumed its Toronto Urban Film Festival initiative for an eighth year. From Sept. 5 to 15, video screens on Toronto subway platforms will display a series of seven one-minute silent videos at ten-minute intervals, along with the screen's regular programming. The screens at St. Andrew station will display these films in an uninterrupted loop for the duration of the promotion. In addition, six videos will run on screens in 40 shopping malls nationally, while five travel-themed films will be displayed at the Calgary International Airport. The videos have also been posted online at <http://www.torontourbanfilmfestival.com>. The Toronto Urban Film Festival is being co-produced by Art for Commuters.

Pattison Onestop will conduct a similar initiative in Edmonton from Sept. 15 to 21 called the Gotta Minute Film Festival. Short silent films will be displayed on screens in the Edmonton Transit LRT system. This promotion will be conducted in association with Fava and Launch.

"TUFF turns the ordinary Toronto subway commute into an extraordinary moment, and now that we are taking TUFF on the road, travelers and shoppers across Canada have the opportunity to enjoy a few minutes of unique entertainment while they are on the go," said Sharon Switzer, executive director of the festival.
