St. John Ambulance begins workplace safety campaign

St. John Ambulance has begun an advertising campaign in the Greater Toronto Area called "Know What to Do." The campaign, developed by Stephen Thomas of Toronto, focuses on workplace safety and promotes the organization's first aid training programs. It consists of transit posters and digital materials depicting a number of injuries that can occur due to workplace accidents. The creative features copy such as, "You have five minutes to save her life. What do you do?" The ads also direct viewers to a website at <http://www.knowwhattodo.ca> for step-by-step first aid instructions and a workplace safety quiz. The campaign also includes social media activities.

"There are many training providers offering health and safety training to workplaces in Ontario," said St. John Ambulance Ontario CEO Brian Cole. "But St. John Ambulance, by far, offers the most thorough and intensive workplace first aid, health and safety training and is one that is backed by a full network of medical and health care professionals. We need to get the message of health and safety preparedness out as strongly and as directly as we can."

The campaign will run through September, with digital and social media components running through October.
