Pattison Onestop resumes Toronto Urban Film Festival

Out-of-home media company Pattison Onestop, in association with non-profit organization Art for Commuters, has resumed its Toronto Urban Film Festival initiative for a seventh year. From Sept. 6 to 16, Pattison's 290 display screens on Toronto subway platforms will display 82 silent one-minute films from 20 countries. A film will play every 10 minutes. The films will also play continuously on dedicated screens in the Bloor, Dundas and St. Andrew stations. Viewers will be encouraged to visit a website at <http://www.torontourbanfilmfestival.com> to vote on the films. In addition, from Sept. 9 to 15, a series of specially-commissioned eight-second videos will be projected at the corner of Yonge and Edward Streets.

"TUFF turns the ordinary Toronto subway commute into the extraordinary, while TUFF Online brings the festival to audiences around the world," said Sharon Switzer, executive director of the initiative. "We hope everyone will take a minute to enjoy this year's stellar line-up of short, silent films and cast a vote for the Viewers' Choice Award."
