Shaw, Rdio form marketing and content agreement

San Francisco-based online music streaming service Rdio has formed a marketing, content and promotional agreement with Shaw Communications of Calgary. Users of Rdio can access approximately 20 million songs and create custom music stations via computers or mobile devices. As part of the deal, Shaw Ventures has made a financial investment in Pulser Media, the parent company of Rdio.

"As Canada's leading network and content experience company, we believe our customers should have access to the best content available," said Brad Shaw , CEO of Shaw Communications.  "Rdio is the best available digital streaming music experience and a great complement to our leading broadband and Shaw Go WiFi services. Our partnership with Rdio will develop great offers that will enable Shaw customers and everyone across the country to enjoy this service."
