Toronto Hydro promotes refrigerator recycling

Toronto Hydro began a campaign on April 25 to promote the importance of recycling old and inefficient refrigerators. The campaign began at the Green Living Show in Toronto with an installation created by local artist Jose Andres Mora. The installation consists of a old refrigerator converted into a solar dehydrator that can preserve food by remove the moisture from it. The initiative promotes the final year of Toronto Hydro's Fridge & Freezer Pickup program, which will end on Dec. 31.
