Labatt retains OMD

Labatt Breweries of Canada has hired OMD as its strategic media planning and buying agency. OMD won the assignment in a review process involving an unknown number of contenders. "We periodically assess our various advertising and media suppliers to ensure that we are getting maximum effectiveness for our marketing investments," said J.R. Edwards, director of corporate media and sponsorships at Labatt. "From time to time we make a change that we think will benefit our brands and company. OMD is one of the world's premier integrated media planning and buying agencies and was named 2011 Global Media Agency of the Year by Adweek magazine.
