National Public Relations has constructed a new website at <http://www.national.ca>. The site includes company news, links to its Twitter feed and Facebook page, and a collection of public relations articles. The site was designed by National's interactive unit, Sonic Boom Creative Media. "Our new website was developed specifically to celebrate our people and our clients," said John Crean, national managing partner at National. "The result showcases our global expertise and insight garnered over 35 years of communications consulting with the best clients in Canada and internationally."
Hardware, renovation and gardening retailer Rona has launched an online publication called Ronamag, located at <http://www.ronamag.ca>. The website, available in English and French, consists of trend stories, advice articles and videos intended to help readers accomplish various home renovation projects. According to the company, new content will be added daily. "With Ronamag, our purpose is to guide consumers in their home renovation and decor projects by offering a one-stop site where they will find useful tips and complete solutions, as well as plenty of inspiring ideas," said Karim Salabi, marketing vice-president for image and sponsorships at Rona. "Launching Ronamag also demonstrates Rona's commitment to understand consumer needs and put innovation front and centre in our operations. We created this magazine using the latest technologies, so it would easily adapt to new formats and the changing needs of our customers." The site is being produced in association with Newad Édition, which is handling architecture, programming and content production. Sid Lee developed the visual branding and the online launch campaign.
Astral TVPlus has launched a blog at <http://www.blog.astraltvplus.com> aimed at advertisers and media planners. "The Astral TVPlus blog features a wide range of articles, in both English and French, on the world of television from here and elsewhere, as well as comments on industry news," said executive vice-president Claude Lizotte. The site also covers programming on the company's specialty channels, as well as research and creative. Astral TVPlus has also launched Facebook and Twitter accounts aimed at advertising clients.
