ALIAS / WAVEFRONT UNVEILS NEW SOFTWARE

Toronto-based Alias/Wavefront, a producer of 2D and 3D graphics technology, will introduce character animation software to the North American market early next year. Called Maya, the program will increase the rate at which high-quality computer graphics can be produced. It is the first software product developed from the company's next generation architecture, Project Maya. The new technology offers superior system speed and a streamlined workflow resulting in increased productivity. Alias/Wavefront develops software for the film and video, web authoring, games and interactive media, industrial design and visualization markets. Its clients include The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Trade advertising for Alias currently promotes all of its products. It was created in-house.
