TSN, Wendy's resume Kick for a Million promotion

TSN has resumed its "Wendy's Kick for a Million" promotion for a sixth year. Until Sept. 7, viewers can enter online at <http://www.tsn.ca/wendys> or <http://www.rds.ca/wendys>. Participants will receive additional entries for referring others to the contest or by purchasing certain menu items at a Wendy's restaurant. Four randomly-selected participants will attempt a series of football kicks during CFL games in Calgary, Hamilton, Toronto and Moncton. The winner of this series will attempt to kick a 50-yard field goal during a game on Oct. 15. If successful, the kicker will receive $1 million. A 40-yard kick will win the participant $100,000, while a 30-yard kick will be worth a Nissan 370Z and a 20-yard kick will be worth $25,000 in Samsung merchandise. "With quarter-finals in Calgary and Moncton, the semifinals in Hamilton and finals in Toronto, this year's Wendy's Kick for a Million is truly a national event, and with Quebec's participation this year, the connection with our customers and CFL fans has never been stronger," said Lisa Deletroz, regional marketing director at Wendy's. The contest is being promoted with two 30-second television commercials, on-air exposure during CFL games, public relations, online and advertising, in-restaurant materials and social media activities.
