Merck Canada conducts Coppertone campaign

Merck Canada is conducting a summer promotion for its Coppertone brand of sun protection lotion. The campaign, developed by Newad of Montreal, makes use of promotional workers at parks and recreational centres in Montreal and Toronto distributing samples of Coppertone Kids and Nutrashield. The initiative also includes chalk stencils on sidewalks, photographs of families posted to <> and coupons for product discounts. Advertising in fitness centres is also in use in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. The campaign will run until the end of August. "Thousands of families take advantage of the summer months to engage in outdoor activities," said Thamarra Baptiste of Merck Canada. " Coppertone wants to join them so they can enjoy the sun as long as they wish. Once again, we have commissioned Newad for the creation and the execution of our experiential marketing campaign that allows us to reach our target consumers and have them enjoy the sun and our products."
