CBC hires Veritas Communications

CBC has retained Veritas Communications of Toronto as its agency of record for publicity and promotion. Veritas won the account in a formal competitive bidding process involving an unknown number of firms. The account had been held by Media Profile for the past five years. "Veritas brings a publicity track record defined by strong creativity and innovation, a breadth of experience with large organizations and major campaigns and, through their affiliates, extensive experience working with and within the broadcasting and Canadian media entertainment industry," said Bridget Hoffer, executive director of communications, brand and promotion at CBC.
