Portuguese Cork Association retains DDB Canada

The Portuguese Cork Association has hired DDB Canada of Toronto as its agency of record in North America. DDB won the account in an international review that included ten agencies. The agency will develop a campaign intended to raise awareness of and promote the use of cork floor coverings. The campaign will include public relations, social media activities and retail training, as well as digital and trade advertising. Public relations in the United States will be handled by Porter Novelli. The campaign will begin in July. "We were impressed by DDB Canada's creative business problem solving skills and experience, as well as the results generated for their other clients," said Piet Dossche, chairman of the North American Portuguese Cork Association group. "They showed a unique insight into our business problem and the fact that they have offices throughout North America and strong PR credentials was key to DDB being awarded the account."
