Astral Media unveils new brand identity

Astral Media of Montreal has introduced a new brand identity. According to the company, the new branding is intended to reflect Astral's "corporate profile, evolving culture and expansion across Canada." The company will now refer to itself in its branding as Astral. It has also adopted a new logo in the form of a multi-coloured lower-case letter 'A'. The new brand identity will be applied across the company's various specialty and pay television properties, as well as its radio, out-of-home advertising and digital assets. "A new brand image is a powerful tool to communicate a company's story and key differentiators in a way that encourages employee, partner and consumer engagement," said Alain Bergeron, the company's vice-president of corporate communications and chief marketing officer. "We wanted to showcase the personalization and flexibility in our market solutions and convey a much better understanding of Astral, our people, media properties and the dynamic services and products we provide." The branding work was conducted over a one-year period by Astral and Toronto-based Juniper Park.
