Redwood Custom Communications becomes Totem

Redwood Custom Communications of Toronto has changed its name to Totem as part of an overall rebranding initiative. The company has also adopted the tagline "Brand Stories" and will unveil a new website in March. According to the company, the rebranding has been in planning since Redwood was acquired by Montreal-based Transcontinental in 2008. The company specializes in custom publishing and branded content, as well as research, measurement, database marketing, printing and photographic work. "The new brand will be more meaningful to what the business is now, its positioning and where it's going," said Totem president and CEO Eric Schneider. "We love this name because it articulates the essence of what we do. We create media brands for our clients that act as totems, bringing to life the qualities that consumers cherish most in our clients' brands."
