Art & Mechanical launches in Toronto

A new design agency called Art & Mechanical has officially opened in Toronto. The firm was founded by creative director David Adams and managing partner Adam Zolis. It specializes in brand development, design and communications.
Adams was most recently a freelance creative director and designer. He has also held design positions at Clean, Zulu Alpha Kilo, Grip, Soapbox, Karacters Design Group, Hahn Smith Design, Shikatani Lacroix Branddesign and Redwood Custom Communications.
Zolis was previously managing director of AmoebaCorp. He has also been an account director at John St. and an account supervisor at High Road Communications.
"Although we opened our doors in September 2013, we decided right from the start to dedicate a good amount of time to developing our portfolio and living with our own brand before we released any communications," said Zolis. "No website, no press release, no anything until we had a real good sense of who we were and what we wanted to offer."
