MuchMusic to take four digital channels commercial-free

Specialty channel MuchMusic will move its four digital music channels to a commercial-free format on Aug. 31. The four channels, MuchVibe, MuchLoud, MuchMoreRetro and PunchMuch, are available nationally on digital cable and satellite services. "MuchMusic created the music video niche on TV and these digital channels let us super-serve our audience by giving them more of their favorite videos than ever," said Brad Schwartz, senior vice-president and general manager of Much MTV Group. "Commercial-free stations mean subscribers across the country get an uninterrupted fix of their favorite music videos all the time." MuchMusic is a division of CTV.
