Pepsi breaks new campaign in Quebec

PepsiCo Beverages Canada has begun a new advertising campaign in Quebec to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the Pepsi brand in Canada. The first Pepsi-Cola to be produced outside of the US was made in Montreal in 1934. The campaign, developed by BBDO of Montreal, includes television, billboards, digital advertising, a sampling program, participation in consumer events and street activities. According to the company, the creative takes a humorous look at events that have taken place in Quebec over the last 75 years. "The brand new Pepsi advertising campaign that will be aired starting today stays true to our commitment to recognize Quebecers' unique heritage, and our ad will reflect this," said Sylvain Charbonneau, vice-president and general manager for Quebec of The Pepsi Bottling Group.
