Labatt and Brick settle trademark suit

Labatt Brewing and Brick Brewing have reached an out-of-court settlement in a trademark and copyright infringement suit. In the suit, Labatt claimed that the packaging for Brick's Red Baron brand were creating confusion among consumers with its own Brava brand. As part of the settlement, Brick will redesign its Red Baron packaging. No other details are available. "We will use the opportunity presented by this settlement to introduce a new look for Red Baron," said Brick president and CEO George Croft.
