Microsoft begins Big Ticket Search promotion

Microsoft Canada has begun a contest promotion called "Big Ticket Search" in association with the Toronto Raptors basketball team. The initiative is in support of Microsoft's Live Search service. Consumers can enter the contest by using the website at <http://www.bigticketsearch.com> to conduct an Internet search. Each search will result in an entry into the contest. Winners will receive prizes including a Raptors VIP package, Raptors season tickets, signed team clothing, Ticketmaster gift cards, Xbox 360 video game consoles, Zune media players, laptop computers, home entertainment systems, $10,000 or one of two Mitsubishi Lancer SE sedans. Prizes will be awarded hourly until the end of the contest on Dec. 31. "Big Ticket Search provides Canadians with a chance to interact with Microsoft Live Search in a fun and rewarding way," said Owen Sagness, consumer and online vice-president at Microsoft Canada. "By working with the Toronto Raptors, we are able to bring that Big Ticket Search experience to the Raptors' diverse and growing fan base." The contest will be promoted during Raptors home games with branded on-court contests, a fan zone in the arena, venue advertising and exposure on the team's website.
