CONSORTIUM GRABS FEDERAL AGRI-BUSINESS

A consortium of four agencies has been chosen to handle advertising for the Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada federal department. The agencies in the group are Palmer Jarvis Advertising of Vancouver, Groupaction Marketing of Montreal, Compass Communications of Halifax and the Ongoing Partnership of Toronto. The consortium won the business in a competition with five other agencies. Others on the short list were Cormark Communications of London, Ont. and Scott Thornley & Company of Toronto. McKay, Goettler, Miley, Unrau of Saskatoon pitched with SKS Group of Toronto and Allcom of Montreal. The department was previously handling advertising on a project basis.
