Food company Mars Canada has introduced a new website for its Uncle Ben's brand of rice. The consumer site promotes the health benefits of rice along with its ease of preparation. It also contains a collection of recipes. The site, located at <http://www.unclebens.ca>, was developed by Proximity Canada, the interactive arm of BBDO Canada. "The website was developed with busy families in mind," said Matt DiPaola, interactive vice-president at Proximity Canada. "Interactivity and ease of use were key considerations in developing the site. With the growing interest in portable content, we created a text messaging tool that can be used when someone is at the grocery store for example and doesn't know what to make for dinner. All they have to do is send a text message to the site and they'll receive a recipe for that day on their cell phone."
