Gorilla Nation of Toronto has signed an online advertising sales representation agreement with US-based Gawker Media. Under the terms of the deal, Gorilla Nation will be the exclusive seller of ads in Canada for Gawker's 12 pop-culture blog-style websites. These include Gawker.com, Defamer.com, Jezebel.com, Gizmodo.com, Lifehacker.com, Jalopnik.com, Kotaku.com, Deadspin.com, Io9.com, Consumerist.com, Valleywag.com and Fleshbot.com. According to the company, these sites receive approximately 25 million unique visitors per month. "Gawker had success with Gorilla Nation in the US years ago when we were just starting out, so we're very excited to be working together again in Canada this time," said Christopher Batty, senior vice-president of sales at Gawker Media. "Our entertainment brands are a great match with their expertise, and, like very few others in the market, they understand the power and efficiency of integrated promotions in content niches."
