Best Buy prepares video game tournament

Retail chain Best Buy Canada, in association with the National Football League and video game company Electronic Arts, has begun a contest to find the best players of football game Madden NFL 08. The tournament will consist of 12 regional competitions played at Best Buy locations on Oct. 20 and 27. Potential players can register for a local tournament at <http://www.bestbuy.ca/madden08>. Sixty-four players will be selected by random draw to compete. The top three finishers at each event will win a Samsung high-definition television set. The regional winners will also receive a trip to Toronto to compete in a national championship in December. Events will take place in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. The winner of this tournament will travel to Los Angeles to represent Canada in an international tournament.
