EA Canada, Vancouver Canucks ready educational event

Video game company Electronic Arts Canada of Vancouver is preparing an event in collaboration with the Vancouver Canucks hockey team called "Future of STEAM Day: Vancouver." The event, which will take place at EA Canada on Dec. 13, is intended to encourage students to pursue the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. The event will include students from Moscrop Secondary School who have recently completed two digital education initiatives called "EA Play to Learn" and "The NHL, NHLPA and Vancouver Canuck's Future Goals Hockey Scholar" program. The programs are run in association with education technology provider Everfi. It will also include BC Minister of Education Rob Fleming, as well as personnel from EA Vancouver and the Canucks.
