MasterCard breaks new campaign in Quebec

MasterCard Canada has begun a new campaign in Quebec focusing on a new website constructed at <http://www.canapasdeprix.ca>. The site name comes from the tagline of the credit card company’s French-language advertising, “ça n’a pas de prix.” Visitors to the site will be able to watch, hear and read experiences submitted by MasterCard customers in Quebec. These experiences will be classified into categories for entertainment, food and drink, outdoor and national treasure experiences. The intent is to give visitors ideas for travel destinations, restaurants and other activities. “MasterCard wanted to create a platform where Quebeckers could connect with one another and discuss what is priceless in their eyes,” said Tammy Scott, vice-president of brand marketing at MasterCard Canada. “Rather than imposing our vision of priceless Quebec experiences, we are letting Quebeckers define their own unforgettable experiences through this new initiative.” The site will be promoted with three new television commercials created exclusively for Quebec. Each 15-second ad presents a real Quebec experience in a documentary style. The commercials, which will begin airing today, invite viewers to submit their own experiences to the site. The ads were created by Marketel of Montreal.
