Canadian Traffic Network buys Wise Broadcasting Network

Canadian Traffic Network, a provider of traffic and news reports to radio and television stations, has acquired Toronto-based Wise Broadcasting Network. No financial details are available. “The addition of Wise Broadcasting is a perfect complement to our existing network,” said Ivan Shulman, the company’s executive vice-president and director of international sales. “Wise provides traffic information to over 40 stations throughout Canada, as well as weather, sports, and business news updates, allowing us to expand our product offerings throughout Canada.” Wise Broadcasting CEO Bart Murphy will remain with the company. Canadian Traffic Network is a subsidiary of New York-based Global Traffic Network.
