Wal-Mart Canada continues Rollback campaign

Wal-Mart Canada of Mississauga has released a new television commercial nationally called “It’s true.” The 30-second ad, created by Publicis Canada of Toronto, depicts a woman staring in disbelief at a Wal-Mart receipt as she moves from the store to her house to her dining table. Along the way, Wal-Mart employees emerge from various locations to tell her, “It’s true.” The ad is a continuation of the retailer’s “Rollback” campaign from last year. “This year, we used Wal-Mart associates to reassure a slightly baffled customer that the price she is looking at on her receipt is not a mistake,” said Duncan Bruce, executive creative director at Publicis Canada. “Every time she looks at that receipt throughout her day and wonders, an associate pops up out of nowhere.” Media buying for the ad was handled by ZenithOptimedia.
