Mediaedge:cia gains two accounts

Toronto-based media agency Mediaedge:cia has recently gained two new accounts. Paramount Motion Pictures Marketing has hired the firm to handle print, broadcast and Internet media planning for Paramount movie releases in Canada. The account is worth $20 million, according to the agency. Mediaedge:cia already handles Paramount’s home entertainment account. Energizer has also hired the agency to handle its $130 million North American media planning and buying account. The assignment consolidates the Energizer battery and Wilkinson Sword razor brands into a single account. “These wins demonstrate the strength and momentum of Mediaedge:cia and prove that clients are looking for ideas that actively engage consumers with messages that break through today’s cluttered media environment,” said Bruce Grondin, president of Mediaedge:cia Canada.
