Out-of-Home Marketing Association, BrandSpark International begin campaign

The Toronto-based Out-of-Home Marketing Association and BrandSpark International have begun a new advertising campaign to promote their annual “Best New Product Awards” and the launch of a new website for this program, located at <http://www.bestnewproducts.ca>. The site invites consumers to submit their opinions on various brands in exchange for loyalty points. The campaign, developed by ACLC, is aimed at grocery shoppers. The eight out-of-home executions make use of copy such as , “I used to be a Cereal Monogamist. Then I found Robert.” The ads describe Robert Levy, president of BrandSpark, as a consumer research specialist who can help consumers find information about new products. Media for the campaign has been donated by the association’s members, including Astral Media Outdoor, CBS Outdoor Canada, Newad, Pattison Outdoor and Zoom Media. The four-week campaign will consist of transit shelter and poster advertising in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. In addition, consumers who visit the website and enter a code displayed on the posters will be entered into a draw for a package of 45 products that have won the award.
