Out-of-Home Marketing Association sponsors new award

The Toronto-based Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada has signed-on as the sponsor of a new award that will recognize the best out-of-home campaigns for consumer packaged goods. The inaugural winners of the awards will be announced at the Best New Products Award Show on May 22. The show is a production of BrandSpark International. Any consumer packaged goods advertising in English or French that ran in Canada in 2013 is eligible. Award categories will include: food and beverages, household products, beauty products and personal care products. Entries will be accepted until April 16.

"Determining the winners of the new award will be a two-step process," said association president Rosanne Caron. "A jury of industry leaders will review and select the best OOH campaigns, which will then be tested by BrandSpark's Shopper Panel. The research will gauge the ad's ability to connect with consumers."
