VisionTV breaks Many Beliefs campaign

Toronto-based VisionTV has begun a new advertising campaign promoting the channel’s diversity. The campaign, which uses the tagline, “Many beliefs. One strong nation,” consists of seven 30-second commercials along with print advertising and Web-based material. The creative was produced by the VisionTV marketing and communications staff using animation from Toronto-based Alisdair Jones Designs. The ads feature prominent Canadians describing the ways in which they are guided by their beliefs. The campaign broke on VisionTV yesterday. The print ads will run in Vancouver and Ottawa. The channel has also constructed an area at its website located at <http://www.visiontv.ca/diversity> at which visitors can submit their own beliefs. “We wanted to underline the fact that men and women of many different beliefs and backgrounds can and do proudly call themselves Canadian,” said Bill Roberts, president and CEO of VisionTV. “We believe it's important to stand up for this principle and affirm that diversity can be a source of great strength. To have built a country like Canada, where people of many different spiritual traditions manage to share common values: this is something to be proud of.” VisionTV is owned by S-VOX.
