VisionTV conducts programming contest

Toronto-based VisionTV has begun a contest promotion called "So You Wanna Be in TV." During the contest, which will run until Aug. 7, viewers are invited to submit suggestions about the channel's current and future programming via its website at <http://www.visiontv.ca>. The winner will receive $1,000 worth of merchandise from an unannounced electronics retailer, while the winner's suggestions will appear on-air. "We thought this would be a fun way to engage with the loyal fans of our most popular programming block," said Bill Roberts, president and CEO of VisionTV. "We want to deepen their sense of ownership by giving them a real say in our future program choices."
