The Pool opens in Toronto

A new post-production firm called The Pool has opened in Toronto. The Pool is a joint venture of four Toronto companies: editing firm Stealing Time, online and colour transfer firm Alter Ego, design and animation firm 4Stroke, and 3D animation firm Test Pilot. Clients will be offered the services of any combination of these companies, as well as a number of affiliated production firms and freelancers. "Clients want the option to streamline their work under one company," said The Pool president Clare Cashman. "Having the option to pool the post-production needs of an entire campaign or account under one group of companies means increased discounts for clients and less time spent by the agency managing the day-to-day operational requirements of each project."
