VisionTV conducts Christmas Challenge contest

Specialty television channel VisionTV has begun an online promotion called the "VisionTV Christmas Challenge" to promote its lineup of holiday season programming. The channel is running the contest in association with social media company Filemobile. During the promotion, which will run until Jan. 5, 2009, visitors to the VisionTV.ca website can submit photographs and videos of their most memorable holiday moments. Registered users of the site will comment on and rate the submissions. The winner will receive a prize package consisting of an Apple Ipod, the video game Rock Band 2 and other merchandise. "Our goal was to roll out a holiday promotion that would be bigger and better than anything we've done before," said Marie Lofranco, Internet communications manager at VisionTV. "As a Canadian leader in user-generated content development and deployment, Filemobile has the expertise and ability to develop a much richer and more exciting online Christmas campaign, helping us take our digital media presence to a whole new level."
