Rogers Communications has formed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to become the company’s preferred supplier of telecom services, including wireless voice and data, landline telephone, cable television and Internet access. Rogers will also become a platinum sponsor of sports teams the Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, Marlies and FC. The agreement also includes sponsorship rights inside the Air Canada Centre and supplier rights in Maple Leaf Square, a new sports and entertainment development in downtown Toronto that will be completed in 2009. “With this partnership the Rogers brand will become increasingly synonymous with Canadian professional sports and entertainment,” said Stephen Graham, executive vice-president of corporate marketing at Rogers.
