TACO BELL EXPANDING

Taco Bell is opening new outlets in Canada next year although it isn't sure yet how many, marketing director Richard Brown told Adnews this week. A report in The Globe and Mail said 30 but Brown said he didn't know where newspaper got that number. Taco Bell may team up again with Kentucky Fried Chicken - the two chains are owned by U.S.-based PepsiCo - to open facilities carrying both banners. Currently there are three KFC-Taco Bell outlets in Vancouver. As new outlets are opened advertising will increase. In Canada, advertising for Taco Bell is done by Bozell Palmer Bonner of Toronto.
