Yum Brands hires IPG Mediabrands

Restaurant company Yum Brands has retained IPG Mediabrands as its Canadian media agency. The account will be serviced by a special business unit called Team Accelerate. The assignment includes media strategy, planning and buying for fast food chains KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
“We know media is one of Yum’s strongest levers to drive transaction led growth and we have very ambitious goals,” said Lauren Pottie, senior media manager at KFC Canada. “Team Accelerate very clearly demonstrated that they have the strategic thinking and media firepower to unlock media’s full potential and re-ignite the power of the brands in Canada.”
