
Report: Canadian ad sales

Magna, the media investment division of IPG Mediabrands, has released an updated Canadian advertising industry report. According to the report, Canadian ad sales increased by 8.4% in 2024 to $24.7 billion. This represents the largest annual increase in 15 years. Pure digital ad sales increased by 14% to $17.5 billion, while traditional media sales declined by 3.2% to $7.2 billion. Search engine and social media advertising accounted for two thirds of all ad sales.
In addition, the report predicts that the Canadian ad market will continue to increase in 2025 by 6.3% to $26.2 billion. Digital advertising is predicted to increase by 10%, while traditional advertising is predicted to decline by 2%.
