FLEISHMAN-HILLARD EXPANDS CLIENT ROSTER
By Adnews Staff
Public Relations firm Fleishman-Hillard of Toronto had a busy summer. The agency is launching a PR campaign this fall for rice cakes from The Quaker Oats Company of Canada, a client it signed up a month ago. Quaker, based in Peterborough, Ont., talked to other agencies but Fleishman got the account through a referral.
In the next few months Fleishman will be launching a PR campaign for Agfa Canada for its consumer film, medical diagnostics and printing and imaging divisions. The PR agency won the account in a competition six weeks ago with two other firms. This is the first time Agfa has used a PR agency. Agfa is a division of the Bayer company of Germany.
Fleishman launched a promotion last month for Solaris' Green Cross consumer herbicides. The agency won the business in a competition with two other agencies earlier this summer. Solaris is a division of Monsanto, whose Canadian division is based in Mississauga, Ont. Other account wins over the summer months were Sybase Canada of Mississauga, Boehringer Ingelheim of Burlington, Ont., Southam New Media of Toronto and Toronto-based Upjohn Company of Canada. Fleishman offices in other countries already had Sybase, a company that makes high-tech computer software which allows databases to communicate with each other. Boehringer is a pharmaceutical company. Fleishman has just wrapped up a campaign for beef cattle health products. Fleishman got the Upjohn business earlier this summer and will launch a PR campaign for a new pharmaceutical product being introduced in the next year or two.
