Pulmonary Hypertension Association begins campaign

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada and Bayer have begun a social media campaign intended to raise awareness of pulmonary hypertension and the importance of early diagnosis in its treatment. The initiative includes new material about the disease on the association's website at <http://www.phacanada.ca/cteph> and a series of online videos that will tell the stories of several people with the condition. Six-second versions of the videos will be distributed through Vine, the video-sharing service of Twitter.

"If a picture is worth a thousand words, we're hoping compelling video vignettes will take our message to new heights," said Angie Knott, national manager of the association. "Our goal is to educate Canadians about CTEPH in a way that really helps them understand and learn.  We are thrilled to offer new platforms of support and education to the PH community, including people at risk of developing PH and CTEPH and their caregivers."
