Bayer sends more work to McCann

Pharmaceutical company Bayer Canada has sent additional work to McCann Canada. The company’s Bayer Crop Science Canada division has retained McCann as agency of record for its Seeds and Traits department and for its digital agriculture service Climate FieldView. This consolidates the Crop Science account with one agency. McCann won the account in a pitch process.

“We’ve been working with McCann since 2011, and we are pleased to take that relationship to the next level by awarding them our full portfolio of brands,” said Lauren Davis, marketing communications manager at Bayer Crop Science. “It was very important for us to consolidate our marketing communications with one agency because, now more than ever before, we are able to offer a full range of solutions to Canadian farmers. The ag category is complicated, and McCann has built an integrated team that deeply understands our business.”

In addition, Bayer’s Consumer Health division has hired McCann Health to handle healthcare professional marketing for its the Canesten and RestoraLax product lines. This account was also assigned in a pitch process.

“We are very pleased to be working with McCann Health,” said Lauren Felix, senior manager of media and digital strategy at Bayer Consumer Health. “The team’s strategic and creative capabilities, as well as their fresh perspectives on healthcare professional connections and communications channels, proved they can unlock new potential for our business in Canada.”
