Xplornet hires McCann
By Adnews Staff
Internet service provider Xplornet Communications has retained McCann Canada as its strategic and creative agency of record. The agency will work to raise awareness of Xplornet's history and its high-speed Internet service aimed at rural consumers. The assignment includes brand strategy and campaign development. New work is planned gor release later this year.
"For more than 15 years, Xplornet has been providing innovative fixed and mobile broadband solutions to rural customers at work, home and play across Canada," said Arax Copeman, vice-president of consumer marketing at Xplornet. "We've charted an aggressive growth plan, delivering next-generation fibre-to-the-home and 5G broadband to rural communities across Canada, and we needed a smart, creative agency to partner with us for the next phase of our journey. We were impressed by McCann’s strategic prowess from day one. What we found particularly appealing is the agency's understanding of the unique needs of rural Canadians across the country. That matters, because that's the heart of who we are."
